Cut Metal Letters Installation Methods


Plain Mount

No mounting hardware provided. Customer to supply their own hardware for installation. Please note that mounting hardware will be required to install sign letters. If you choose to do this yourself, and order without hardware as in one of the other options, please be sure of your capabilities. We can not be liable for damage done during installation.

 

Flush Stud Mount

Flush Stud Mount Stud Mount Installation Instructions

This is the typical installation method for Flat Cut Metal Letters. 3/16"diameter studs come out the back of each letter. Please note that 1/8" thick letters will have studs welded to the back of each letter. An installation pattern will be required to ensure proper stud placement. Please be sure to order this with your sign letters.

 

 

Projected Jam Nut Mount

Projected Jamb Nut Mount Stud Mount Installation Instructions

Stainless steel jamb nuts are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface on the studs. This method is the same as flush stud mount, but some space remains between the surface and the letter.An installation pattern will be required to ensure proper stud placement.

Spacer Mount Stud Mount Installation Instructions

Pre-cut spacers are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface on the stud. Specify by the amount of standoff required -- not by spacer length. Follows the same method as the flush stud mount. An installation pattern will be required to ensure proper stud placement.

 

 

 

Corrugated Nut Mount

Corrugated Nut Mount Stud Mount Installation Instructions

The corrugated nut   installation method is used When you have access to the rear of the wall, washers and nuts are used on both sides of the corrugated surface of the wall, on the studs.

 

 

 

Double Rail MountDouble Rail Installation

For the double rail installation, two rows of 1/4"thick x 3/4"high aluminum bar is secured to back of each letter with stainless steel screws. Bar comes standard with baked enamel paint finish. Only available on letters 4" to 24" high. The entire rail can then be attached to the surface. Extra shipping charges may apply due to rail.

 

Bottom Rail Installation

For the bottom rail installation method, letters are drilled and tapped from the bottom with stainless steel studs going through aluminum tubing. Tube is standard with black baked enamel paint finish. Available on letters 4" to 24"high and 3/8" or thicker only. $10.00 NET per letter. Ships unassembled. Extra charges may apply due to rail.

 

Bottom StudBottom Stud Installation

For the bottom stud installation method, letters are drilled and tapped from the bottom. You would provide your own bar or channel for mounting. Letters with round bottoms (i.e. O,S,G etc.) will have a flattened base to receive studs. Exterior applications greater than 6" letters require tiebacks to hold against wind.
